Hersounds, I knew you would be the first to slice off that IHS

Intel really went over board with the Paste and Black Silicone. Can't wait to see the new figures once you've cleaned that crap off and applied your latest Phobya Solution .

One small thing meaning to ask the line of very small transistors/caps which appear to the left of the first picture (on the CPU) are they important or can you scrape a few off?

Does that come with the board? Is it level with the CPU die so the cooling solution will rest on the bracket or does the die stick out above it?

Wow this will cause plenty of crushed cores if mounted naked..... Especially with "bowed" heatsinks like thermalright's

Not really!,this is from a friend on facebook mine...

as you see he need 1.16 vcore, and temps are not very well as all...with 3770k same speed need 1.12 vcore ( 3226B068 batch) and temps are more lower.

Ppl at Overclock.net are talking painting the exposed metal next to the die with nail polish or mx-4 or gasket sealant prior to Liquid Metal as Liquid Metal is conductive.

u also have the smaller ones that will do the job more accurate, you cover the part where electronic surface mounted components are, let cool and the apply liquid pro

Use nail polish for that… It's far thiner and will protect the contacts, moreover if want to remove just throw some acetone at it and wipe it clean.
