Modded TA790GX A3+ Bios X2/X3 @ X4 :D

Well, i got a good X2 550 with capacity to run 4 cores ,but Ive tried to unlock the "extra" cores on TA790GX A3+ but it seems impossible
so I asked for a friend of mine a great bios developer to make a magical bios for TA790GX A3+ and......
He did

i will show you exactly how you can do the same.
the first ever step-by-step is how to get the modded bios

Set your system back to stock prior to flashing and after updating bios to the new one you just need to follow this steps ,under the CPU Tuning option
HT link @ 1.6GHz
ACC @ all cores
Value(all cores) @ -2%

you must set the HT link @ 1.6GHz, if you don't, you'll see unexpected results

And its work of course

you would like to try it at your own risk

Congrats on the nice unlock, seems I am one of a small group that can't unlock theirs.

You should have your friend mod a bios for the TA790GX XE

I thought this mobo doesn't have any problems unlocking!

i just bought it to unlock so I hope default bios is OK as I read!

I also have the TA790GX XE and it unlocks my 550BE but I can't boot into windows. I can only boot into the BIOS.

Yeh I have tried those BIOSes in the past. I have just flashed back to the latest 525 BIOS and now my motherboard won't power up!

Time for an RMA

Yes please! please please create a modded BIOS for TA790GX 128M! Jan 13 official bios doesn't work (unlock) and the TA790GX 128M modded bios at rebels haven can't unlock either

-My new mobo has bios from Jan 09 so unlocked only activating ACC. All the rest settings default as I am still to understand this bios

By the way, its a TA790G 128M so not the same that the one in this thread (sorry, didn't realise before)

setting it to Auto means setting it to +2% on all cores

values over +6% are recommended once higher voltages are used (1.5v CPU VID and higher)

negative values should allow for lower operating voltages at stock

different CPUs like different values, so you'll have to fiddle a bit, simply leaving it on Auto may not always be optimal

well ,the modification is not guaranteed for all chips,you must be sure if your chip can handle the mod or no

i have two X2 550 ,one of them is good for X4 and the other runs only two cores
