Congrats to Matose, Stephen and Speedtime ....
Had a great time here but not so lucky with the contest... burned mosfet in last 20 minutes... and spi32m only run at 5.6 Ghz... maybe limit on my skill, not hardware...
Thanks for Gigabyte for this great event and well prepared... also to all participant, media and judge ...

great efficiency for super pi 32m
Guys, thank you very much for your words. I had a great time in Taipei and I must say the competition was fair till the end, great work by the organisation (especially the judges)
Born to lose, live to win!
My results for 5th place:
PiFast - 14.59 @ 5790 MHz. Run for statistic)
l]
wPrime32M - 2.891 @ 5652 MHz.
SuperPi32M - 6.35.203 @ 5605 MHz. CPU not can run on higher frequency and i changed cpu. First cpu - CBB-138, CB-150. It is only one run without copywaza.
MaxxMem - 27148 @ 5724 MHz. This result was maked on second cpu. CB was on -100 degress. Is very bad cpu, but look on Uncore Frequency:

2010; GOOC 2010 Many thanks to Gigabyte!
and yeah, where the h3ll is george?
gotta shoot him a pm...
really? who? did i miss anything?
well, his cpu number couldnt be divided into 1s in any possible way, gigabyte doomed him by introducing letters... and he also lost his lucky roll of belgium toilet paper...
daymn... so many zeros... what a bunch of loosers!
seriously tho, looks like for every round half of the guys didnt get a single score up? what happened? too bad i couldnt stay and watch the show...
yes, very well done!
it was a bit hot, the tables were quite small, and overall i liked the 2008 venue more... but this was a really nice event...
from all the events of all manufacturers ive seen so far, this is the second best right after gooc 2008...
2008 was really perfect, didnt they even have free red bull back then?
but this was an awesome competition... to watch at least, cant say what it was like to compete... but i didnt see anybody bored or upset
big thanks to hicookie! you did a very good job
he uploaded the pics within minutes after the comp was over
hah, i love your avatar
which one of them is you? ^^
there were a couple of new faces and a bunch of well known ones... it was really nice seeing all of you, too bad its always over so soon, this could have lasted days if not weeks if it were up to me... but the beer tab would probably bankrupt gigabyte
Thank Gigabyte for putting on yet another fantastic event, and it was great hanging out with so many super cool overclockers and media!
Congrats Matose
Nice job

Hey mate,
PJ just had one of those days that just don't go right I think.
But he had the 2nd best binned cpu.
80 cpu's were binned.
The best 15 for the comp were on the tables.
All cpus were tested for clocks, vtt and cb.
The 15 used were as close to each other as you can get.
Our friend Shahryar_NEO had the best one.
So being given the best of the binned cpu's, doesn't mean you will win.
In Contest you cannot really guess what will be happen . I really prepared for winning specially in memory overclocking and if you noticed my preparatin got 30M more than other because I used LN2 on memories too . I managed to submit a record for maxxmem and a good wPrime score but after I decided to go for some PI tests while I had a good CPU but my motherboard got some current and power problem ( Maybe in insulation it made some problems for mobo because at the first of the contest I had some problem with powering keyboard and it worked randomly ). I didn't have this problem on none of my GBT motherboards that I tested before . It was near to one hour to the end I finally after changing power supply and testing all things I figured out that the mobo is the problem but as the time pressure and worrying about insulation time and ... I finally chose to change the motherboard with cpu and memory too to speed up my mobo changing ( the second mobo was normal and it was ok !) !!! that mistake and don't have enough time cause that . Btw , my CPU coldboot was around -80 and coldbug with 1.7 pll was around -125 .
As Tim mentioned in after party we have to prepare ourself more and more specially in insulation skill . I participated in Thailand and Indonesia before that both we had air conditioner but there wasn't any there and the humidity level was very high . of course that is more challenging and it leads to more nice contest IMO .
For these reasons I think first of all matose really really deserved it and it shows that he was really prepared specially in insulation for that humidity and second was you cannot guess what will be happen in contest like what happened to MM , ZolLkorn , me and ... and this is why the live competition is very exciting specially if it has free stages that keeps the contest warm and interesting until the last second .
and beside all of these things luxy was perfect specially at entrance lighting .

Ok, let me rephrase again If your motherboard doesn't work out or as you say, just have one of those days, it's easier to make up for it if there are more events not directly related to the cpu, but at least they had MaxxMem (not my favourite though).
All cpus in the EU final were supposed to go to -150 as well, but mine wouldn't go lower than -115. Might be mb related I guess. Imo the binning should be done by yourself like in GOOC 2009 (which will add yet another part of the compeition).
