GPU-Z 0.53 reads VRMs temps now. You can't believe how cold they are if it's true.

Someone help me. I'm using afterburner, CCC, gpuz & kombustor. I modded my 2GB 6950 to 1536 shaders. But my limits in CCC are 950mhz for the core. The card is clocked to 950mhz and overvolted and runs just fine.

How do i reach core clocks greater than 950mhz???? I tried the 'enableunofficialoverclockingmethod = 1'. Heheh. I created the HD5xxx series overclocking thread and have done this 1000 times, but I'm drawing a blank right now.

    What can i do

I believe what your forgot was in the msi ab cfg. you have to type out the I allow blah blah blah(forgot the exact statement but its posted i believe in this thread and a few others) and you'll get the higher clocks(1350core) etc.

I can slide core to 1320mhz

Edit: well stability tops about at about 1005 core / 1475 mem

What do i need to push vcore over 1.3? asus bios/smartdoc?

i used rbe to go higher..i have bios for 1.325 and 1.35 which got me to 1050-60 core and 1550 on mem for a few benches but it was pushing stability, wouldnt run continuous like that. I managed 1000/1500 on 1.3 for 24/7 however

so was the voltage 1.3 really necessary? my works at 960 ( with 1.175) with 1470 mem (no voltage tweak) 3d mark and all games stable.

Is there a way to tweak memory voltage for reference cards? I`m using reference asus 6950 and the memory can go up to 1460-70 for bench only. Seeing over 1500 here .

um i may be able to come down some in the 1.25-75 area havent tried yet.
See when i was first trying to clock i could get 950core on 1.175 stock cooler but NOTHING higher stable( i could bench but thats it)
when i put the Shaman on i just flashed to 1.3 instantly made it to 1035 core stable put it to 1.35 and got 1050 stable..benchable at 1.325v 1050 but that was about it. I figure i could get away with at least 1.275 at 1000core maybe even lower but like said never tried. Since thats where ill probably keep it i might go ahead and start lowering it til it becomes unstable.

heard flashing to the 6970 ups mem voltage from 1.5 to 1.6
and im flashed so probably why im seeing over 1500..but 1500 is highest stable for gaming etc. 1550 benchable but score didnt improve enough imo

It was working for my 5850, that's why I flashed it with 5870 BIOS the memory clocks were higher, but here it seems both cards are using same memory voltage, tried 6970 BIOS and no difference in memory clock so I decided to stick with the default BIOS with shaders unlocked only(Ati tool has no problems this way).

@ the_game hmm, not sure man i guess some just aren't capable. Others cant even get stock 6970 clocks so id say consider your self lucky already. But i know how you feel, at first i was pissed i was seeing 1000core+ clocks and i couldnt get over 950 like wtf? Then shaman came along and got that going. Usually i dont achieve the highest overclocks possible but im normally in the small percentage of high clocks most people dont get(with air/water). So i get angry when something cant clock well.
