Thermaltake Tidewater?

After reading tons of reviews that all say VERY diferent things about the thing I am wondering if anyone has this or has tried this. If I were to buy this it would cool my 1900xtx and I would not overvolt, but would up the core as far as it'll go on stock volts. Some reviews say 50max laod others say 75... really confused. The reason I am not going with a real wcing system is because its too much of a hassle to fit it all in my case and ti'll be twice the cost. Anyone know something about this that i should?

Just looked at a couple of reviews, given that it holds X800 series cards to 45-50 deg C full load at stock, I wouldnt bother with it for an X1900XTX. It might deliver better temps than the stock cooler, but not by much so its price/performance ratio would suck IMHO.

Not sure what pricing is like in Canada but in the UK the Tidewater is £50 and £75 gets me:
Eheim 600lph pump/res station
Alphacool 120mm rad
Alphacool 7800/x1800xl block
2m 10/8m tubing

Don't bother with it. Your X1900xtx will be better with the stock cooler.

get a Swiftech Storm
and everything else from Danger Den website trust me, if you can!
Don't worry about a res. just do a T line in your loop. For me although sloopy looking I did a 6' loop (longer then most peeps). It's longer because it holds more coolant, thus keeping your CPU cooler. If you do a short loop 3' or less I suggest you get a res as the added coolant will help more then just relying on the Rad w/fan only, IMO.
I say this because I did some investigating and it paid off in the end (6' long loop). It pays to have more coolant with your WC then anything else.

Goal:
Is to get your CPU, GPU or CPU/GPU as close to ambient temps as possible. Once you get it below ambient temps under load you are getting some extreme cooling without a phase...

Koolance Exos-2> Thermaltake at watercooling
Just my 2 coppers worth.

I actually have a full out wcing system with a strom iwaki bix3 and a maze4, but since I moved to phase I am selling all that soon, right after I refill it and patch it up. Selling it already all mounted into the case to a friend of mine for like 1/3 of what i paid for it. Sooooo I only need gpu cooling since I got cpu covered with a chilly1 single stage. By now I am thinkin screw the tidewater and go with some aircooling solution. I am in canada so even the CHEAPEST decent setup would cost 200+. I have calculated this many times and unfortunately this is true. Thx for the help.

There's not a better aircooling solution than the stock x1900 cooler out there as of now.
My 2 cents.

In that case then, lap your HS as some come with the drill cuts. Once I lapped mine load temps dropped from 75C down to 64C (don't think I mentioned that in my link). And, one time I forgot to plug the fan in (I re-alcoholed the HS again to make sure I removed any oils) when I looked at the temps it was unusually high at idle. Then it dawned on me I forget to plug the fan in. I took a quick snap shot of it then immediately turned it off. It was left on for 45 minutes before I relased this That's nothing to sneeze at...
