MSI Neo2 plat + Phase change

I know this is "off topic" being that it isn't about a DD system, however I just put my Neo2 and 3200+ under phase change and the temps are between 40 and 44 celsius, but my probe is reading -21 celsius at 2.8GHz and stock volts. Anyone know if the board reads temps incorrectly or perhaps I just have crappy contact? Chip runs Super PI 1M flawlessly.

I remounted everything and tuned underload and my probe temps are now -38.5* celsius at 2.85Ghz idle. Bios is reporting 40* celsius, doesn't go up or down anymore. I had really bad contact on the previous results. Reading up on this board on the internet to see what is going on, anyone have any experience with phase change and this board?

The neo2 platinum does that on the older bios.

If you want it to report with *some* accuracy, you'll have to use the latest bios in there.

However, the modded 1.36 I think was the best bios to work with so unless you really care about what the bios tell's you, don't worry about it.

I've had 5 or 6 of those boards on phase. On the older bios, that's what it reads when frozen, 40c.

Cheers

later today I will be reflashing to the 1.36 bios, spent a few hours reading and ended up answering my own question about the temps. Thanks for the input guys, finally got decent contact with this DD(solid suction line =\ ) and I am doing -35 idle, -24 loaded or something around there. Thanks for the help!

My neo2 will only read down to -27c then it jumps right to -100c. The neo2 is notorious for bad temp sensors so dont even bother worrying about it.
