Badly need help removing mobo...1 screw wont come off no matter what!

Hi!
I need to RMA my mobo but there is 1 screw that wont come off no matter what. I tried moving back and forth and now I cant even make it turn. Do you think drilling it could work?

Drilling would work, however, very dangerous to do.

Use pliers to grab the screw and turn it. you just need to get some leverage on the screw to overpower its restraint.

good luck.

I just had a similar problem w/ a mobo standoff (the tapered coolermaster ones) that worked its way into the corner hole of the and just would not budge, nor could i get underneath to try to make it move w/ a small flat wrench. If you have a little bit of give between the top screw and the mobo and also have access to where the standoff is screwed in you could use a drill to help loosen the standoff. From behind the mobo tray drilled a very small hole in the standoff screw so that I could get a good grab in it with a precision screwdriver. I gently tapped a flat head precision screwdriver in the standoff and then slowly loosened the standoff to get it out of the mobo tray. Once I got the whole board out I used a pair of robogrip pliers to separate the offensive screw and mobo standoff. I couldnt get a good grab of the screw w/o risking a slip that would scratch the pcb so the other method worked out safer for me.
