3800 x2 3ghz on air/new rev ultra d

well, 3gig ish. after 9 months of abuse my ultra d took the dirt nap last week so i ordered a new one from newegg and got a rev ad0. oc's better than the ab0 i had. this cpu would max out around 2820. my opt 144 cab2e would only run around 2900 now does 3ghz plus. i just installed this last night so it has shipping bios and old windows install from biostar tforce-939.

my config
3800 x2 xp90/panaflo
ultra d sli mod
2x512mb ocz pc3200 gold
2x7800gt sli

differences i have noticed from old rev
1. extra cap at i/o end of dimm slots
2. first mainboard i HAD to use amd cpu driver, cpu temp was 50c at idle, pwmic was 60c at idle until i installed it.
3. nvidia lan connects to xbox360 immediately, rather than the 2 or 3 minutes it used to take.
4. board stays super pi stable until it maxes out, then freezes at desk top.
5. 3/4 ram divider does not work
6. takes around 15 seconds to recognize cpu, led blinks rapidly. tried with the x2, 2 opterons and a 3500 winny.
7. systool does not work. when you try to use it for cpu overclock, the slider goes to 0.0mhz and locks

very truly yours,
politenessman

Its either on the PCI slot or the PCI-E slots, and you can get them at newegg.

my x2 is one of the first e6 toledo core 3800's. its always been a pretty good overclocker, but either way, the new rev ultra d adds on some clock speed and some stability for me. my x2 is
ada3800 daa5cd
ccbwe 0529spmw

good luck. hope you get a good chip.

if you are interested in an opty 165/170, try this guy,http://www.flickerdown.com/ he sells at pretty much wholesale prices which will save you at least $100 usd than if you buy in uk. nice guy, personal service, maybe even be able to give you stepping before you buy. maybe. retailers are only supposed to be selling opties to users for servers, 3d/video rendering and/or other high perf pc uses which do not include gaming or "xtreme computing" so they are treading lightly. retailers, that is. good luck
