Just wondering if it works for PC temp taking.

depends on how low it goes i think that one only goes from about -10 might be worth it depends on how low your system is going. have a look in the manual and see the temp range. apart from that i do like having no wires XD

According to the manual it is -18 which is way lower than I expect to go in a long time since I am into air cooling and next step will be water and finally Ill get to the big leagues of phase.

It works okay for most use. Beam's focus is bit wider than what I would like though.

i wouldn't bother buying an infrared thermometer for use with phase change, moost of the time you're concerned about the temp of something covered in insulation, and knowing the tempurature of the outside of your insulation isn't going to be particularily useful.

Actually is for my current air cooling...specially the memory which I have no sensor on so no way of knowing how hot it is. Heck, dont even know what temp is normal for this OCZ VX memory.
I think I am gonna skip water and will go with phase next year since I saw now that you can buy a $800 phase cooling sytem in a case , Vapochill. That is simple enough I hope.
