Running Iwaki on lower voltage?

Is it possible? Like running a fan at 7v is it possible to make a wmd 20rlzt iwaki to run quiter at like 60-70 volts or so (115 normal)?

probably depends on what kind of control electronics there are; as I have not dissassembled mine own, I don't know. Anyone have pictures of the guts of an iwaki and/or know the answer to the question?

the speed of the motor is dependant on the hertz of your local power company (60 for america)

so if u can figure out a way to adjust the wave form to say 30hertz you can run ur pump slower..

but tbh i dont know what effect changing the voltage will do.

Since when were Iwaki's loud? Assuming you mounted it with a sound dampening/vibration hampering material, it should be very quiet.

Yea, I have the same brand Iwaki mounted on a pad and its pretty quiet for a pump.

hmm, makes me curious. I don't like me when I'm curious!
