'CoolLaboratory Liquid metal' Thermal Interface

A European based company named Cool Laboratory has recently released a product called 'liquid metal.
Acording to There Site, It's thermal conductivity surpasses even AS5 although this isn't confirmed by any outside sources, I will get my hands on some of this mercury like solution and some AS5 and do a review/comparison of each in a few days...

The review is from the same company that sells it.
Even tho it looks nice, I wouldnt trust it until I see a good review from someone else.

Has anyone tryed this thermal compound?

I've heard it messes up heatsinks made of anything but copper... don't quote me on that though.

I'm interested to see how good it goes.

Hallo,

i am using CoolLaboratory Liquid metal' Thermal Interface since three months, before that i used AS5. In Idle it droped my temps by 3 degrees under heavy load i gained 4 degrees. Here you see the review thats mentioned in the ebay auction. http://www.allround-pc.com/index.php...03/bericht.htm

So how dangerous is this new floating metal ?
And it gives what ?
3C more cooling affect then AS5, I'm very impressed.

And if it floats what happens if it gets over the CPU socket ?.

No I think I pass over this new mercury alike thing, and let some else be the "test pig".
Information.

This is the effect on a stock AthlonXP aluminum heatsink of mine after 30 minutes.
I have got the paste from early september, haven't tried it out yet because I haven't a copper heatsink
