Expected oc from P4 630?

I'm in the market for a P4 630 and would like to know what's the expected oc from a 630 on air? I'm using a Zalman 7700Cu (for now).
Also are there any particular steppings i would look out for better oc?

JoeBar, Look at my signature, that is what I can achieve with ambient temp of 23-24 C using Thermaltake Big Typhoon heatpipe/fan cooler in full tower case. I can bench at 4.3ghz on air with same ambient temps and Vcore of 1.62.
All day running is good for 4.2ghz @ full load, as far as steppings are concerned there is only one at the moment from Intel, it is N0 series for 6xx.
They should be putting out 6x1 series pretty soon with support for Virtualization Technology on single core chip.

Thanks for your thorough answer!
Same results with u has a friend of mine using a 630 with a Zalman 7700Cu, so i believe that 4.0ghz (that's my goal) is achievable.
Also do u like your P5WD2? I've read many good reviews on it but i would like user info too cause this m/b i'm going to buy.
I'm conserned about a restart prob (shutdown instead of restart) prob that occurs beyond a certain oc. I've read it in a review and also my friend, who uses a P5LD2, has it. Have u experienced it?

I finally tried out my 630 but seems that i'm not so lucky.
It maxes out @ 4.0ghz but with 1.65+ vcore. For everyday use i'm @ 3.9ghz with 1.55v. Cooler is Tt big typhoon.
Also the restart prob do exist beyond a certain oc which is very annoying...

mine does 4ghz at 1.41v. 55c load temps. used to run 4200 with 1.43 volts but wont do it now even with 1.45v. I can live with 4ghz at 1.41v.. Its not the best overclocking chip but certainly is not the worst.

C'mon, are we kidding ourselves here !

at 4.2ghz from 3ghz is approx 41% overclock on Air ! very stable too. What the hell is wrong with that ?

It seems a lot of visitors to this site are spoilt rotten and expecting BIG things from bottom of the range chips...

I don't know about prices around the world, but here in Oz - these chips can be had for only A$270 approx. Bargain !

The biggest problem I find with this chip is not being able to use 14x multi, from what I hear you got to use 660 or 670 to get that happening.

If you use Corsair's 5400ULs or the 8000's on P5WD2 mobo and use 3:5 with tight as stable timings - great memory efficiancy really starts coming on, especially around 933mhz and up. In Everest and Sandra you cream everything as long as FSB is at least 280mhz +.

I didn't say that 3.9ghz that mine can reach is a minimal oc. I just wanted to get to 4.0ghz. No prob though.
These chips are really nice!
