Cannot get 1T to run on my RAM, regardless, help

Hokay, so here's the story.

I wanted a gig of ram so I bought one of jinu's gig's of Mushkin Blue, he had em at 2-2-2 240mhz ish, that's not even the real problem atm, just some backround on the RAM.

My rig is as in sig, supposedly I've modded the motherboard to use the 3.3v line to power the RAM, everything looks just dandy.

the ram runs 2-2-2-8 200mhz just fine, game & all

in Everest I get (consistantly) the low 4x00 mb/s range

I am definatly in dual channel

with 2-3-3-8 I get 5768 mb/s

W-T-F?

is this a sign that my vmod has been an utter flop or am I missing something?
thanks guys

Do the tighter timings cause your motherboard to default to 2T command rate?
Does the mem (when at 280 and tight timings) pass memtest and prime overnight?

Also, check laetncy in everest and compare those values.

maybe is something like what happened with nf2 runing 2-2-2-5 vs 2-2-2-11 maybe it causes the memcontroler to re-read info or something like that making lower latencies perform worst

so you think 2-2-2-5 might fix things? I'll give that a try (along with sandra) in a minute.

and as far as I know 2-2-2 doesnt default a T2 command rate, it's the neo2 Plat, pretty popular board and I've got to believe that if there was a T2 issue I'd have heard about it

There is no issue with the board, but if the BIOS setting is at Auto, the board will do whatever it wants. Set it yourself and see if there is any difference.

here's the deal

I have the BIOS set to T1, forced

with 2-2-2-8 and 2-2-2-5 timings Sandra is reporting me as having a T2 command rate.

BIOS 1.36B

2-3-3-8 stays T1, I'm gonna try 2-3-2-8 and then A64Tweakering it.

I'll post back in a bit

edit, update ::

I've tried most everything I can think of

2-3-3-8
2-3-3-11
2-3-2-8
2-3-2-11
2-3-2-6
2-3-2-5
2-2-2-5
2-2-2-8
2-2-2-11
2-2-2-6

All of them are using a 2T command rate; it's DEFINATLY set to 1T in the BIOS.

the only thing I havnt tried is setting a 2T or AUTO command rate in the BIOS and altering it in A64Tweaker. Oh well, time to try that. If it fails; it's flashing time

Are you referring to what Sandra says about 2CMD.....it does it on many AMD systems....just a "bug" if you will...if you set 1T in the bios...then your memory is running 1T
