Temps to run Dothan at in Laptop

Guys,

Can anyone advise me?...

I'm playing about with fancontrol on my inspiron, I'm just wondering what temperature bracket I should keep my Dothan running in?...

I believe the max operating temp of the Dothan is 60 deg C?...

At the moment I've set it the fan is off until it reaches 45 degrees then it kicks in on low speed, once it reaches 55 it kicks on full whack...

I've run S&M to really heat this baby up and with the above settings once it gets to 55 deg C and the fan hits full speed it never climbs above it.

Does this sound OK?...

Thanks,
Cinders.

I use this program to slightly undervolt my Centrino, it gives me extra 45 minutes of battery life and lowers the temps.

Hi Wrench, have you looked in to swapping a 400FSB Dothan in to a 533FSB board to O/C?... I've got a 745 on order which, hopefully should turn my 1.73Ghz 9300 in to a 2.44Ghz Beast! (he touches wood)

the odds of managing 2.5 on stock vcore and laptop cooling aren't that great. a 1.6/2.13 is much more likely to work, a 1.7/2.26 is fairly likely to work. and wouldn't it be 1.8/2.4?

I've got a 1.8 on it's way from the USA... Should have it next week, I'm hoping to get it to run in my laptop at 2.4 - we shall see!...

It's worth a try!
