Someone tryed really low powered compressors for DD?

i have my first system running. its a huge 1hp compressor, its too expensive to run 24/7.

so now i want to make a new system, really compact, low powered and i want to fit it inside my lian li pc6010 (i know it will be a tight fit buy i think its possible).

i started looking around, and found some compressors that will fit. i found a 1/5hp unit, a 1/6hp unit and a 1/8hp unit.

i want to know if someone has tried to make a DD system running with a compressor of this power.

the good thing is that i wont be expecting really low temps. having -10c under load is more than enough. im considering using R22+R290 on a R12 compressor.

this are the units ive been looking at, so far:

The 1/5hp could be used for a cpu dd but thats the lowest you want to go. The 1/6 and 1/8 would make good gpu coolers.

I'm not sure of their exact capacity at a temperature but yes, they would be able to hold a larger load at a higher temperature.

im considering getting the EM55NP.

using the chart seen in the pdf, it should hold 240kcal/h (280w, 160w CPU and 120w GPU) at -8c while using R12. Since R22 has more heat capacity and evaps at lower temps, i should get something under -10c at that heat load, right?

to -22c load after 3dmark bench
prime for about 9 mins kills it though
this is way back

Ive used a 1/12th hp r12 compressor along with a flooded evap and was able to pull off 4100mhz out of my 2.8C stable..Although temps were not the best, priming around -10 to -14C using r22 It can be done.. Although if the compressor was placed below the evap like the prommy, im sure temps would suffer quite a bit, even with a really efficient evap.. And I believe the bd35f was a 1/12th hp compressor if I remember correctly.
