MCP600 runs HOT??

I just installed an MCP600 I bought and the housing is HOT to the touch. Is this how it is supposed to be??

mines warm to touch I barely feel any heat coming from the housing...

I cannot even put my finger on the housing. It is REALLY HOT!!!

Mine also just feels warm to the touch. I would guess maybe 10° above ambient.

A friend of mine uses this pump, it does not run as hot as you've described.

If yours is running that hot, then you need to contact swiftech. You have problems.

It seems to have cooled down a little bit. I will keep checking it and see how it's doin.

very strange.. make sure ur getting good flow and nothign is clogged.. that will heat up a pump more.. i know when i switched to bigger tubing on my iwaki it runs cooler now due ot increased flow.

It cooled WAY down now barely warm. maybe there was still some air that needed to be worked out of the system.
