Dumb question! What's a pencil mod??

Just as the title says.

I see threads on how to mod GPU's and some refer to a "pencil mod".

Instead of adding actual resistors to the circuit the graphite in the pencils will cause a change in resistance, which will fool the voltage regulation, thus increasing voltages. If done correctly that is

just be sure not to put too much graphite on or else you'll mess up your card. best is to check with a voltimeter after every stroke

EDIT: Never mind I got it!! your basically drawing a line between points, correct.
