Stupid Q, but what is the best tRas setting for AMD64?...

Can anyone advise me what I should be aiming for? Is lower better?...

I'm running 2-2-2-10 at the moment - wasn't sure if I should try to go for 2-2-2-5, 2-2-2-7, 2-2-2-8. etc.

Whats best for the AMD64?...

Cinders.

i think what cinders is asking about can't get to 2, the lowest Tras goes to is 5...and 5 would definitely be the best...i've never actually done any recorded testing, but in my experiments with 2225 and 2228 it increased maybe by 100mb/s in sandra...nothing significant, but the lower the better...good luck!

A64 tweaker lets me choose "2"

But it might be set to 5... 5 might be the lowest the memory controller can do... I think I read that somewhere.

I just wasn't sure about the tRas - someone told me a setting of 7 gave higher bandwith, all the guys with the same VX memory as me seem to be running there's a 2-2-2-10 which is what I went for. Maybe I should have started 2-2-2-5 or 2-2-2-7.... I'll have a play around tonight.

Use memtest and fiddle.

Memtest and goldmemory give bandwidth for comparison purposes. TCCD for example likes 7 (gotta remember to try 6 like OPB does w/ trc of 7 ) but 10 is NOT gospel. Check to find the best w/ YOUR mem.
