OCZ 4200-EL Platinum - Overclocking and best options...
I got my OCZ 4200 Platinum yesterday, spend the day overclocking it with mixed results...
Can someone explain to my what I'm aiming for... Should I be looking to get the highest memory bandwith possible on Sandra or the quickest SuperPi/Aquamark/3d Mark 2001 time?...
This is confusing my slightly... I can run FSB of 260 (dual channel @ 2.5-3-3-7) with Multi at 11 and have a bandwith of 7648Mb/S Int Buff'd, which I guess is good, however this results in a slower SuperPi/Aquamark/3D Mark than say running the FSB at 246 x 12... This way i get a faster SuperPi but smaller memory bandwith in Sandra...
What should I be aiming for?... Highest Bandwith Possible with relaxed memory timings or FSB at tightest timings?...
Doesn't the AMD64 just require much quicker memory timings than greater bandwith of memory?...
If someone could let me know or point me in the right direction that would be great - I have been reading through the forums, just need someone to clear this up for me!
Cinders.
