Antec announces the first 1200W PSU: it's the TPQ-1200 model
Antec has announced its first 1200W Power Supply for PC. It belongs to the True PowerQuattro Series. It would cost about 299,99$.

I saw this in one of the bench setups somewhere. And there is coming a 1200W Signature too

what happened to antec building their larger more square PSUs that were suppose to offer better quality and lower prices due to the extra space?

atleast thats what I bought it for
got it for $299 on the egg then saw it for $230 on amazon

It's a 20A IEC socket, very standard you just don't see them very often.

Well, they've since come out with a 1000W version of the CP-850, but it doesn't look like they did all that good a job of it.
I thought this was mentioned awhile ago, in conjunction with the 3200uF in-line caps it was supposed to offer? Or was that a one-off halo product?

btw you can find the Antec TPQ 1200W for $225 shipped on buy.com. I think its a steal.

the cp line is the most stable power supplies...its power output is good for dual crossfire or dual sli..its not high powered..but for stability nothing beats it...
there is an overclocking version of this psu... its another version ..
