Some 2D test with X2 550BE and Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P

Hi everyone,

This is one of my attempt on Hwbot Country Cup 2009 3rd Stage with my friend Coldest, desperately trying to catch up with the 955BE/965BE's (and FAIL miserably LOL )

This is the rig

AMD Phenom II X2 550BE
Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P, F5D BIOS * Thx Mr. Benny from Gigabyte Indonesia *
G.Skill PerfectStorm 2200C8 2x2GB
MSI GT240
Enermax Revo85+ 1050W
CoolerMaster Test Bench v1.0 * Thx CoolerMaster TW *
CPU WoodPot v1.0
15L of LN2

* For anyone that's curious, 'Daerah Berbahaya' sign there means 'Dangerous Zone' *

Insulating (OK, I admit that I overdid it a little )

Insulating - backside

The pouring start

Too bad I've only got a small 15L LN2 Dewar, so it's really time limited, as this is the 1st time I put LN2 on my X2 550BE. So I just do a 'quick-and-dirty' run with it, tried to get as much clock as possible, without considering the efficiency.

This is the best SuperPI 32M I got :

http://hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=924965
The system has already became very unstable at the moment, look at the CPU-Z memory tab(it showed 600MB, not 4096MB)

also The efficiency was a bit 'off',
- NB Freq probably can be pushed more
- RAM Frequency and Timing still can be tweaked
- Maybe the CPU still have 50Mhz-75Mhz more?
- OS not too optimized, no wazza at all.

Too bad LN2 Run out when I tried to maximize all the other settings, so 11m47.xxx s is my last result.

This is a quick 1M run by my friend Coldest, before running 32M

http://hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=925014

Well then, that's it for now,
I'll try harder next time when I got my 965BE

Regards,

EDIT : i got some videos for this run, I'll post it here when I'm done uploading it

If you didn't do it technically the 600 MB ram helped you

Maxmem 600 is a commonly used as a tweak for 32m runs.

Every Phenom II press sample (not even marked as ES but couple weeks earlier than retail parts) I've tested so far have been worse than normal retails.

I did do my Maxmem, Mr. Chew( I set it at 600, and I always do that before 32M run )

But what I don't understand, all this time even if I set my maxmem to 600, the CPU-Z Memory tab will still show 4096MB.

Please take a look at my other runs

This is done right before I do the 6Ghz run, (without restart) and same MaxMem settings, the CPU-Z Memory Tab showed 4096MB, not 600MB.

Disable SPD in CPU-z, then you will see 600MB there SuperPI showing you correct value of maxmem what you have.

Hi there my bro,

Well, thanks to Ekky that I got this 15L Dewar(I bought this from him)
It's not much, just barely enough for 2.5-3 hours of full-pot CPU Benching(AMD), but it's still better than nothing..

I'm waiting for my next 50L Dewar, it probably arrives next month,
and after that, I will try to catch up with U in Hwbot with my 5970's
