Nvidia cards would be better as ATI cards still aren't as good in folding.

Hmmm, may as well just use my GTS 250's then?
Got them on GPUGRID at the moment.

I like the Boinc set and forget config.

When I had my 4850, I think it was getting around 3-4kppd, cannot recall. I think a 9800gt will produce more than a 4850 and a gts 250 will produce even a little more than the 9800gt.

I think ppd has increased a little from what it used to be when I was more active here.

For the money if you can find a used GTX 260 for approx $110-120 USD would be your best bet! but if thats out of your budget, a used GTS 250 for under $100USD might be a worthwhile investment

Supposedly GPU3 is supposed to fix what problems GPU2 has with ATI cards. Supposedly.
