help with black ops mb north bridge

Hi please help i foolishly purchased a black ops mb and jumped head first into water cooling. Its was great until i finally figured out the water block on the north bridge is part copper and part aluminum which caused corrosion.
What can i do to fix this? i have it air cooled with the fan it came with but i cant over clock as hard.

Can i replace the block with after market? (if so can you give me instructions)
would foxconn give me the correct copper part? ( i have tried emailing and calling them)

Please help

I you don't want to replace anything, I'd suggest using a coolant solution that has anti-corrosive properties, such as Feser One.

Still wont be 100% though.

There are aftermarket blocks out there that are all copper. I think chilledpc.co.uk did one maybe? If not try pming duniek and see if he does a block for it.

Great board, they really screwed up with that northbridge block though.

At least they corrected it for boards following the blackops I suppose.

100%?

To solve the corrosion problem he just needs a coolant that will prevent galvanic corrosion.

If the OP wants to repair the damage, then a new block would most likely be the best option.

In my experience it never completely prevents it. Didnt even know I had any aluminium in my old loop (thanks koolance - 5 way nozzle body in black), coolant was distilled + feser base. Within 5 weeks the nozzle body had filled with white goo and blocked my drain line. Steel anodised koolance end plugs in an aluminium anodised nozzle body with copper rads and blocks. Not good.

Just advising to avoid rather than try and prevent.
