Usaged MC655 Good deal or not
Hi all, i have the opportunity to buy an usaged mcp655 with speed controler for 50$ and I would like to know if its a good deal or not im not an expert in watercooling but the mcp655 with speed controler sell for 70$ new on directcanada + shipping should be around 85$ but its new.
INFO From the guys that is selling this : The pump was manufactured in February of 2009 but was used for less then 6 months. It was ran with Feser distilled water and green Swiftech HydrX additive.
Thanks.

That's a good question. I am not 100% sure how to check on condition. I guess by some interior pics of the pump to see if it is gunked up or any sign that the impeller rubbed against the housing.

They come with a one year warranty so the pump is still under warranty. I'd ask if the guy is willing to warranty it out for you within the next month or so after your purchase from him in the rare event that there is a problem. For $50 vs. $85 new being used only 6 months, I'd say if you need to save the money, buy it. It sounds also like the guy is being straight up with you about the age of the pump.

Actualy saving 35 buck is something really interesting for me because i am a student and every penny that i can save is a + And i am going to order from internet other part ( switech 320 ) 6yateloon medium - Someone is going to ship a Swiftech GT for free i know its old but i am not an extreme O.C and it will reduce shipping cost and total price ( for the rad-res-barbs-tubing )

I have bought several used and have not had an issue yet. Make sure they have good feedback from either heatware or Ebay and you should be good to go. Great price by the way.

Very easy. Just unscrew the big grooved ring around the housing of the pump and it will open up. It is almost impossible to do something wrong to the pump: http://www.pccasegear.com/UserFiles/mcp655_111bb.jpg
