Capillary and valve

Has anybody ever used a capillary line and a needle valve for tuning? - rather than re-sizing the capillary line.

Would it work?

If your going that route why not just use a CPEV?

I searched for needle valves rated for our working conditions but in my cursory testing I wasn't able to find anything close to what we could use. In theory it would work, if you find one that will work give it a shot. Could be an interesting alternative to strictly capillary.

I can't say I've researched this much. Just wondering out loud. Also wondering the pro's and con's of a CPEV with our wide swing in CPU load.
