Best LGA775 CPU waterblock

I would like to swap my old good Fuzion v2 with the new wb.
Which block is the best for LGA775?
Swiftech Apogee XT or Watercool HeatKiller Rev. 3 ?
I`m going to go LGA1366 platform next year when Gulftown be on market and save new the new block for it.

As far as performance goes, they are pretty much equal. The XT is a degree better on Vapor's test Core I7.

I prefer the XT as it is more user friendly and includes a backplate. You will just have to send Gabe an e-mail to get your 775 backplate. The mounting plate is slotted so it works with almost any socket.

THe HK, you will have to order a 775 block and backplate, then order a 1366 mounting kit and backplate when you upgrade.

If you want bling, a HK 3.0 CU nickel plated can't be beat for bling.

You should get the 1366 backplate, then e-mail Michelle@swiftech.com for your 775 backplate. They will send it to you for free IIRC. I'm not certain if the 1156 backplate will be included, but if you need it, e-mail Michelle at Swiftech and they will send it to you.

I would wait for a plataform upgrade to change the waterblock.
It will not worth the investment on a new block.

The Swiftech only needs a different backplate. The mounting bracket is slotted so it will mate up with about any socket. IIRC, the 1366 was included and the 775 and 1156 backplates could be requested if needed. They didn't cost any extra though. i would PM Gabe to be certain though.

If you perfer a HK, I would just wait till the upgrade as the bracket and backplate cost almost $30
