Weird cpu fan speeds with Giga x58 UD4P
Ok, I did a search online and in this forum and couldn't find any info on my issue. I noticed when I have my case panel on, my fan speeds only spin around 1850-1920 rpm. I have the Ultra Kaze 2krpm fans 120x38mm fans on my TRUE in push/pull. When I take the panel off, they spin up to 2000+rpm like they are rated. My case is the CoolerMaster Cosmos 1000. I'll post pics later tonight when I get back from work.
I have my cpu fan speed enable in bios set to disabled so it should just spin my fans at full speed. I'm going to use enabled and set it to auto and see if there is a difference.
Currently, with my case panel on, my idle temps for 3.8 191x20, turbo on, ht on, and vcore at 1.256 are 44-44-44-41. Load is 73-72-71-70.
I want my temps lower and am surprised they are still so high. Room temps are around 77 F.
I just can't figure out why my fan speeds slow with the case panel on, and speed up when off. The air is cooler when it is off yet the temps are lower and the fan speeds up.
