I think you should also check out Kaze Server 5.25inch. It has a semi-auto function that you can set the RPM of your fan at the temperature you want.

And where can you buy them in europe?
Their website's "where to buy" function is not working.

OP: First thing, what does best mean to you? Looks? Functionality? How many fans per channel are you trying to control? What fans are you trying to control?
For myself, I have the Kaze Server 5.25" and I'm going to try and run 2x high speed Yate Loons per channel.

I'd stay away from that. The fan connectors are all over the place!

It really depends on what you need most.
For ease of use, I would choose one that got one knob for each channel. In this case 3 & 4 is out.
For the look, different ppl have different taste. Personally I prefer simple one which 1, 2 & 5 is ok.
Besides, stay away from the touch screen stuff. It is impressive at the first time, but it is more and more annoying after you touch it several times.

I've go 5. ZM-MFC1 Plus I like it. 6 fans, 2 of which can be plugged into mobo headers for rpm sensing. basic, no silly displays, not much to go wrong

I dont think you can say "best" because everyone is not looking for the same thing.
Im my mind its clearly the Aquaero.
If you can say that the aquaero is a "fan controller". It is much more then just a controller. It can do tons of stuff. Shutdown if temps get to high or you loose a fan/rpm signal etc. Automatic controlling of fans based on temperature etc etc.
And because you can program it you can configure it and then leave leave the rest to the controller. You don't have to lift a finger. And now that you can control ddc3.2 it becomes the "best" in my eyes. Over the Koolance tms and mcubed bigNG.
But if you have a lot of fans like Ultra KAZE it will not do the job as they exceed the maximum voltage. But if you don't have a lot >2000rpm fans you should be ok. And you can also get boosters if you want to have powerful fans. But that adds to the price also. And fans like the 1850GT only take about 1 wattage each.
If you are looking for automatic controlling and safety AND have the money. Then there is no other product that can compete with it in my mind.

I might have to look into one of those aquaero fan controllers since my scythe kaze master has had 2 channels fail on it so far. But I was running 2 fans per channel on it for over a year before anything happened. Will that aquaero with powerbooster be able to handle 6 120mm 900rpm fans with a mcp355 pump?

This is from a thread I started before.
Quote:
This gives the aquaero with booster the following specs:
Channel #1: 25W.
Channel #2-4: 15W each.
Total wattage drawn should not exceed 45W.
|
If you are thinking about getting a aquaero you should really reed the first posts in THIS thread. If you controll a ddc3.2 you will have 45-18w left on the other 3 channels (27w). That will be 9w on each channel. I dont know how much your fans draw but it should not be that much. I know that the Gentle typhoon 1850rpm variant draws about 1w each. So that would be enough to handle one ddc3.2 + 27fans if you spread them out 9 per channel. But that would be pushing it. I would check martins fantest and see if you fan are listed there and then you can check the wattage drawn there.
Hope that helps you.
For those of you that dont know what a Aquaero is or if you are thinking of buying one. Then you should download this vid and check it out! It really good! Link!
