Do I need Corrosion Inhibitor (G11) ?

Hi there

I've just finished cleaning my water cooling loop. I've rewired the new Tygon tubing too (luckily enough I had some spare). Honestly, this was the first and last time I was using the pre-mixed coolant (I was using Primochill UV Blue). Sticky/stinky residue, *much lower flow rate, temps slightly higher ... messy in one word.

Loop is now running on de-inozied water only + silvercoil in the reservoir. I've purchased some G11 Coolant ... but now I'm in dillema do I need this at all. Loop is based on Thermochill PA120.2 + EK5850 + DTEK Fuzion + Tygon R3603 (with mixture of EK/DD barbs and they are all nickel-plated brass I believe) + DDC/Plexi top. I would say it's all cooper with those nice blocks.

So, any hints what to do with G11 ?

If you aren't running mixed metals then you won't need it.

Generally this is needed if you are using Aluminium in your loops.

Check out the Galvanic Series on wiki.

I don't see a need for it with what you listed.
