Refilling R600a fridge (Urgent).

hello

That was topic about filling A/C in car but I didn't find anything about refilling fridge .

So I must refill R600a fridge made by Whirpool, looking like this : (it's fridge/freezer) :

I have R600a . Shrader is already brazed to suction port . On label there is 0.054kg of gas wrote . What suction pressure should have freezer when it's tunned properly ? What are other factors saying that fridge is tunned well ?

That's bit urgent ..today evening I must refill it

Thanks for all help !

Regards

Borrow a 2000g 1g scale laboratory grade weight (cheap, around 20-30€), place the container with R600a on it, calibrate it to 0 and charge to -54g.

I don't have any electronic weight, plus not all refrigerant is out of system (frigde have very tiny leak, gas leaks throught 4 years to stop working of fridge) . So I must find another way of tuning it..

did you thought about that R600a is flammable/ explosive? Just Refilling is bad way, maybe leak is on suction side. Those freezers are at low suchtion pressure/ maybe in vacuum and O2 can get in system .
Getting this system leak free, testing with nitrogen and then a good vacuumpump is required. But when leak is in evaporator, you simply throw it away

just do it the same as one of the single stages we build. there should be a 4c to 12c superheat but subcooling will be different if it is a static cooled condensor if it is not then just charge the same as a single stage system. this is how i have done fridges before but like august said u should really try and find the leak

Finally I rent weight from neighbours (electronic) and put a 54 grams of R600a like sticker says . But that time pulldown time was really slow, and from fridge was comming not nice sounds (hissing, buzzing) ...just like too little refrigerant . So I add 10 grams more and till now all works fine .

Thanks for help.

Hi

After 3 days fridge is out of gas again so I guess leak is not small ...

Till now I've found one small leak :

Can anybody have an idea if I can throw away that piece of alu pipe which is comming inside fridge (I think yes) wall and connect condensor outlet directly to drier ?

Because I don't know in what way I should braze steel to alu, if I throw away that alu I'll connect steel condensor with cooper drier using cooper pipe .

Am I right ?

The places where you need to remove/repair the aluminum ,use a double flare on the aluminum to reconnect.

I thinks is not aluminium is a steel juste remake a braid , is not slhx , this tube going under your fridge or in the side is a sort of desuper .... I thinks that you little to connect(bind) the condensseur with the dezydrateur directl (reverso translate sorri ^^ )
