Gently Typhoon 1850 or 1450 RPM
I am trying to obtain the 1850 version from several local dealers, however, nobody is able to get them in stock.
The 1450 version, however, is available. Is the 1450 version
as good as 1850 (will be used on a MCR320 + shroud). Or should I wait for 1850?
Other option is to use Zalmans F3.

The 1450s are fine. IIRC, someone checked into the status of the 1850s and they were suppose to be back on shelves very soon, but I haven't heard anymore information on that.

Thanks Ketzer, you were who I was thinking of. Any chance you have gotten so updated info? It is pretty much mid-October now. I do need another 1850 myself.

The only clue I've seen is that Newegg has an ETA listed of 11/2/09 for availability on -15 1850 GTs which is about in line with what I was hearing from the other guys, so maybe in another couple of weeks they'll be back.

If you are running the components listed in your sig, the 1450s should be fine. I ran a 955 and 4770, both water-cooled, on a dual radiator with Yate Loon 1000 RPM fans and temps were good (40 degrees for Core temps at load).
Advantage of the GTs at 1850 is the extra headroom should you change out components (waiting for some myself).

If you don't HAVE TO have the fans now I'd wait for the 1850's. The MCR rads do perform better with more air flow.
Found some at a estore in Canada a few weeks back (after buying a bunch of other fans) and just love them. Even at 1850 rpm the sound is a sweet hum.

TBH, the 1450's are a LOT quieter, but not all that much less airflow.
I own all 1850's, and I usually run them somewhere between 1200-1400 for best airflow/noise

Great info, iandh. I'm really impressed with the 1450s ... may just skip the 1850s (leaves more for the rest of y'all).

Waiting for two months now.
Still gonna go with the 1850's since they'll be hooked up on my fancontroller.
It's a good thing to have some cooling power to spare for benching.

1850rpm. Get them while they're hot (from SW).
Selfishly I ordered what I need before posting here.
