Need Help With i7 And Black Ice 560

So I just received the package with my liquid cooling system, my first.
I have an i7 920 and a Black Ice 560, To this radiator I'm gonna connect 4 120mm Scythe Ultra Kazes (3000) and only the CPU (For now).
Swiftech MCP655 (with controller).
HeatKiller LT.
Other than that, I just bought an Antec 1200 with 2 Silverstone FM121s, And for the GPU, For now I got a 9600GT (8800 Ultra RIP), on air.
MotherBoard: Gigabyte's GA-EX58-DS4.
Memory: Corsair Dominator 1600MHZ CL8.
So after all is tested and current case is replaced, I'll OC the CPU. Since It'll too be my first time at OCing, I learned what I should touch and not touch in my current MB's bios.
How far do you guys think I can go with OCing my CPU ?
4.0MHZ and my radiator won't talk to me. 5.0mhz? Only after I check everything is stable for a while, 6.0 ? 7.0?
Thanks

The 560 uses 140mm fans, not the 120mm. You may want to rethink strategy here.

From what i've seen around, you might be able to get to 4,5ghz if you do things right..
When you are trying for bigger clocks, like 5,6++ you need a chilled liquid cooled system (i dont know much about this), dry ice, liquid nitrogen and so on..
Btw, you need a D0 cpu to be able to reach those clocks without overvolting your cpu.
i know someone knows ALOT more about me on this, so please correct me if im wrong!
Good luck overclocking!

I wanna say a 5.0 for 920 is a overpush for daily use but if u are building for benchmarking there is not a limit, but you do wanna a better cooling system than what you have now

CPUZ says C0/C1
Overvolting = Changing the core-voltage or did u mean not only doing that, but reaching above Intel's recommendations ?

How can I improve it even more without a chilled liquid cooled system, dry ice, liquid nitrogen and so on.. ?

Liquid nitrogen is the way to go but I don't have any knowledge on those.

You have a C0/C1 920.. and you are looking for a 24/7 overclock? If so, 4.0Ghz is decent, since this is your first time. 4.2Ghz is about all you should expect to get out of it, stable 24.7 operation.

as others have said for a c0 on water anything over 4 is pretty good, for a d0 you might get a bit higher (once I swap waterblocks I should be able to get a couple hundred mhz extra). Your radiator will handle the heat-load fine, and you have one of the best waterblocks but for anything extreme (4.5, maybe 5 or higher) you need sub ambient cooling (which regular water cannot do) ie a chiller, liquid nitrogen (or for the insane, liquid helium)...
Since this is your first overclock you should take it slow and be careful, maybe try 3.2 at stock voltage, then move to 3.4, 3.6, then 3.7, 3.8 ..., when it is no longer stable at stock start adding a little extra voltage (be careful you can kill the processor if you give it to much, even if you keep temperatures in check).

You don't buy a $2,000,000 dragster and expect to race it at 300 MPH on your first time you get in the dragster.
Start slow.

I just found this video which has both 920 and gigabyte's MB, He pretty much explains all 1 should know, Or will I think badly about this guy in few months ?

My goal is to make my computer faster than me.
And be great for big games, like Arma2 (I like the jets), Anno 1404 (takes me 2 minutes to load a map, ridiculous), future Battlefield series (jets/choppers whore)..

You won't see a big difference between the same 920 at 4.5 and 5.0 for actural use, your game will still load slow unless you use SSD.

you are buying a chip that is rated at 2.66Ghz stock, so if you can get a rock solid OC @ 3.6Ghz you have gained a full 1000 Mhz.. on 8 threads, that is a huge gain. 140%.. if you can get 3.8 then great, 4.0 even better, but I am just letting you know up front you are not going to get much higher, stable overclock than 4.0-4.2

Yeah I was lucky to find about SSD a month ago, Before I was gonna buy 2 Velociraptors, But now when u can't get a decent SSD for less than 600$-700$, I'll just have to wait, probably half a year.

What would cause instability over 4.2?
Temps won't matter as said (I assume that with an Antec1200 the MB will be chilled enough at low RPM of the case fans).
If I manually change the vcore to the maximum recommended (I'm just taking the "extreme" case) , Will that be stable only for 4.2+- because I have C0/C1 ?

do your best to get as much as you can stable, but most C0/C1's are not able to run much more than 4.0-4.2Ghz 24/7 stable, and from what I have done, and seen with others most 920 D0's are not much higher, 4.2Ghz-4.5Ghz is about all you can realistically expect.
A 4.0Ghz 24/7 rock stable 8 thread, tripple channel setup is very good, way more power than your 9600Gt will ever need.

Thanks man.
Now I came to a Black Ice 560 problem, It has corrosion (whity-green) on the inside.
What can I do about it?
I read I can add to the distilled water - Those silver-made liquids, If that is true, Should I run the system with distilled water+silver for a month, Get all the liquids out and refill with distilled water+silver and I'll be fine for a year ?

Yes you can, I am runing 2*X25 80G RAID 0, they work great and together they are 500 plus shipping, you don't need that much big of space on your ssd anyway. I do have raptors running on my rig, but the SSD blows them away to the other side of the ocean.
