Ghetto Chiller from your SS

I dunno how many of you saw it, but stummerwinter did a really ghetto mod to make a chiller out of his single state unit. It was really simple, CPU water block hooked up to the evap head, and run: CPU/EVAP->RES->PUMP->GPU BLOCK (object to cool, could add a NB/another gpu)->RAD->CPU/EVAP

Think the OP is located here

Just wondering, does the radiator really seem necessary, doesn't it just add heat to the loop by blowing ambient temperatures into it?

I guess there's a few ways to look at it. The goal of the rad might be to add enough heat to the loop so that you don't encounter condensation. Or perhaps it is there so that you are able to cycle the compressor on/off and still have the loop run decent temps, which would explain the reservoir. Or there is the possibility that stummerwinter wants to be able to run the systems with the SS attached for benching, but with the rad normally.

(theres also the possibility that he doesn't know that its hurting his temps, but I rather doubt it)
