Gas blends - not seen this in a sticky so asking

Not sure on this, Google showed me nothing and nothing in a sticky here so thought i'd ask.

Do you blend gases that have a simular boiling point, so after XX meters of cap or what ever the metering device is the 2 or more gases are boiling off at the same time. The reason for the 2 is they hold different amounts of load at there temps and the mix of the two creats one single charge of two gases that can hold a lot of load at a decent temp?

Depends on wheter the blend is azotropic or zeotropic. It may form a blend which makes for a 'new' refrigerant with a p-T charactheristics of it's own or simply two refrigerants which boils off separately, the lower pressure refrigerant boiling off before the higher pressure refrigerant. This is a so-called blend with a temperature 'glide' (best example would be R-407C which has 7°C glide - the refrigerant boils at 7°C colder temperatures at the end of the evaporator than at the start).

Blending D-I-Y makes for nearly impossible superheat & subcooling measurement so we tend to avoid it when we can
