Skinee's article on the GTX360 says you can achieve a 10 degrees C delta for 700 watts of heat on 1800rpm fans. I see no problem with the GTX480 for your setup.

Pffff......More then enough! Last rad you need to buy basically till you break it or it corrodes.

u need a 1000L drum

On a serious note tho..

If u dont mind the noise, yes it will work out.

If you were going after a bit of silence, you need to replan.

with 3krpm fans... the GTX is a MONSTER.

As i said if u dont mind the noise, grab 38mm fans to pair it up, or push pull config on it, and you'll be fine.

I was just looking at the review on Martin's old site of the Feser 480 rad and the interesting thing about it was how close or better it performed compared to the 480GTX until you got above ~1800RPM fan speed. I've seen hints that there is some animosity towards Feser in the community though, is that the case? Seems the Feser 480 is also pretty $$$ comparatively as well.

"Hints of animosity towards Fester"?. . .I've tried to be as blatant about it as possible.

Where would you like me to start?

That's what I thought. Feel free to start at the beginning, I have popcorn in hand

But at the same time, that TFC 480 rad has some decent performance from Martin's test. I'm trying to decide on a quad right now and I've gone back and forth between 480GTX, TC PA120.4, and now the TFC 480 I guess it doesn't really matter between them all, but I'm obsessing heh

When I had the GTX 480 on my test bench with 3,000 RPM kaze's I was always amazed at the cooling power. Even the little GTX 240 with the same fans will cool a surprising amount. But if you are looking for low noise levels, I would look elsewhere.
I am becoming more and more of a fan of swiftech radiators, very hard to beat for the price must be why I have 5 of them in use at my house.

It will be more than enough. I had i7 920 do, bloodrage NB and 4870x2 in same loop before. And I had one crappy 360 radiator, no problems with the temps...It was named Mist Extreme 360. So your 480GTX will do well
