New Swiftech Komodo Waterblocks For Gtx275 And Gtx285

Introducing the new Komodo GTX285-P892 and Komodo GTX275-P897 waterblocks.

As their names indicate, these blocks are for nVidia's latest offerings. The P892 (actual nVidia name for this reference board) is also called GTX285 rev 2 by some vendors.

Both these blocks feature a black acetal top, and a chrome plated copper base.

Here are some pics:

Komodo GTX275-P897

Komodo GTX285-P892

The backside features pre-applied thermal pads with peel-off protection

The 0.6x0.6mm pin matrix

Pressure drop is very similar to that of the MCW60

For those who go to our web site, notice the announcement on the product page of an upcoming version of the Komodo for ATI 5800 series.

The MSRP for both blocks is $134.95
We are shipping to the dealers this week.

Most attractive blocks I've ever seen

Love the pin matrix and low pressure drop as well! Real winners here, IMO

Wow, best full cover design I've seen in terms of the cooling patch for the core. Should be very efficient, and I'm shocked by the pressure drop. Very impressive.

Stand offs - check
Chrome plating - check
thermal pads - check ...wait, pre-applied, we don't have to cut up thermal pads.

Impressive pressure drop as well, looks to be a very free flowing block with a focused pin matrix. Kicking myself for buying a GTX260 instead of spending a few dollars more on a GTX275 for my new bench.

+1

really cuts out any confusion on what pads go where. That job has to suck though.

since we are on the subject of Epsilon, here is an EPSILON INSTALLATION TIP: to make sure that you get good contact between block and GPU's:

This particular board, being a dual GPU config, has lots of thermal pads for power mosfets, memory, etc..; it means that there is much more thermal material to compress before a good mate can happen between copper base and GPU. To prevent undue stress on the very small M2screws, AND to get good contact, you want to place the block clear face down on your bench, and while fastening the GPU screws, you want to VERY FIRMLY PUSH DOWN on the board with two fingers positionned in the center of the GPU area (do that twice since it's dual GPU). This is pre-compressing the board against the block, and allows you to get maximum down force without stressing the screw threads or striping the philips head.

Unless your board is non-reference, there are only two nVidia reference boards for GTX285: the P891, and the P892. We have Komodo water-blocks for both.

Year even though these blocks are nice its a tad too late they are not for people buying new cards (Unless your Nvidia fanboy ofc) alternatives for the newest and best cards would be nice

Beautiful blocks. Yeah talk about taking it to the next level in consumer satisfaction....standoff's.....pre applied thermal pads and hell even chrome. Not to mention the great flow as well. Damn if your making the 5870X2 block consider one sold to me!
