GPU Heatsink: Is this an upgrade?

I have a Gigabyte GTS250 that comes stock with this Zalman heatsink:
http://www.zalman.co.kr/product/Prod...ad.asp?idx=322

It's kind of loud and so I'm looking for a different heatsink to use with this card. Is this one any better?
http://www.zalman.co.kr/ENG/product/...ad.asp?Idx=340

I'd need to get a 3-pin to 2-pin adapter so I could plug it into the card. Not sure if the additon of LEDs on the fan would draw too much power /current from the card's fan power header.

if u think that the zalman sinks are loud then i would suggest not getting another one. look at something like a trad and just drop a 120mm 1200-1500rpm fan on it and plug it into the psu.

any small fan will need a good 2500-3000 rpm and that should be alot more noisy than a low-mid 120mm

What's a trad? Oh and this is in a SilverStone Sugo SG05 case so I'm space limited.

With the Trad2 installed on the card, it would be too long to fit in the case.

Check the fan speed and the GPU temperature, I'm guessing that the video card is just letting the fan speed faster than it needs to, you should be able to correct that with RivaTuner.
