NO YOU CANNOT USE HELIUM AS A REFRIGERANT IN A NORMAL SINGLE STAGE.


If you are asking this question you may want to read a little bit more on refrigeration. An engineering book at a library would be a good place to start, Wikipedia is helpful also. Lots of information in the Phase Change section of this forum in addition to other forums online.

Hellium will not work for many reasons please just look into refrigeration a little bit more you will most likely be using 134a r290 or something similaras they are cheap and will work for what your doing/
