Differences between DDC's?

Alright, so I was browsing around pumps, and came across the MCP355 and the LAING DDC 18 watt version. They say that the 18 watt is more powerful, but the data on the mcp355 says that it has better head than the 18 Watt.

Here are the pumps

i don't think there's much difference between those two in terms of performance. the v3.25 just might dump more heat into your loop

So is the extra performance worth the extra 10 bucks?

Also the extra Head Height will give you an upgrade path.
Lets say if you get a better performing block, but its more restrictive.
The higher head will give a better buffer.

In a closed loop system, the static head height is zero because the fluid on one side of the system pushes the fluid up the other side of the system, so the pump does not need to overcome any elevation.

Pressure drop / friction head is what you are describing

I wonder if these are old pictures.

I thought the new 3.25s did not have the two mounting feet on the pump base any more.

Interesting. I thought the 3.25s did not have the mounting feet as seen in this thread. http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...1&postcount=30

Maybe it was the Koolance version only.

Ah, finally someone that considers real dynamics in real applications, and not just spewing theory/verbiage all over the place

Nice to see...hehe
