question about QD

Hi im thinking about for my loop about maybe getting Koolance QD's vl4's

and basically Im not sure how many to get :/

loops will go like res > pump > rad ? cpu > Gpu > res...

so it works out there will be 10 connections (+ 1 to use as a fillport to make things easy)

so I was thinking obviously 10's a bit much and a bit overkill, but what would work well? I was thinking 5 ? cos I could separate any connection then with the block that comes after it (would put them on the intake, or would it not matter as long as all the same )

input would be great =)

im also going to be using QDs in my next 2 loops. Im going to have 2 external rads (both on QDs), some for the cpu and some for the gpus, so there would be 4 QD connections in each loop + 1 extra for drain port. I thought about doing everthing with QDs but i decided not to as i never need to remove the res or the pump from my pc, same with the chipset coolers. Also they are quite expensive so i wanted to use as few as possible.

There is a good post about QDs on 411 overkill

u only really need 2 per component loop your setting up.

IF everything is going on 1 loop, then you probably want it on your GPU blocks only so you can pull those out.
I dont recomend u putting them on every component you have.
Its kinda wasteful unless your gonna do a LOT of Hardware swaping.

I only have them on my board loop and Gpu loop.

If you have multi loops, then i would put them on the board and gpu.
The CPU u really dont need a QD. Its called u pull the block off, take a bucket near it and untube it.
This is not something u can do on your board block or gpu block. This is why I use my QD's only on those 2 parts.
The VL4's are big. Just warning ya... there not the typical QD's.

U can see the size comparision, so i figure its not gonna look pretty at all, but instead will look bulky and kinda ugly.
Which is one reason why im not using them.

LOL... its funny because im repsonsible for the ressurection of QD's last year.
B4 i started showing them off, QD's were no no's because of the restrictive nature they held.
But sometimes on things less sensitive to heat, ease of use >>>>>>>>>>>>> raw performance.

haah your post decided to make me get them tbh I just want it to be completley hassel free when I need to, but I guess I can just get 2 and wack them on the gpu and maybe rad as Ill probably always fiddle with it moving it around and such..

thanks both of you will look at that link in morning
