one is a compression fitting, one is a normal barb.... doesn't that weigh in on your decision?

I have the Koolance one and I liked it. I changed tubing size so I am not using them anymore, but when I did they worked great.

1/2" x 3/4" rules out the Koolance you linked to in the first post as it's 1/2" x 5/8".
