How to remove Swiftech Backplate

Hey guys,

Switching mobos and need to remove the 1366 plate. It feels like I'll break the motherboard if I try to pull too hard. Any suggestions on how to remove this easier?

I used my fingers to pull it off, started from one side and pulled with constant pressure and patients, after about 30-45 secs it began to separate. Once the first sticky back comes loose the others come easier.

I did this as well on my IP-35 Pro and it worked fine. Others have not been so lucky though.

I have heard isopropyl alcohol recommend before. I haven't tried it yet, but the next time I need to switch back plates I will.

Put hairdryer on it and warm it up abit then try pulling it off , should make the adhesive slightly easier to twist.

Use goof off, or WD-40, it will help break it down.
