equinox's chilled water

very simple, not too extreme. works pretty good
started out as a 5000 btu ac unit and a server rack.
turned it into this to cool my phenomII 955. its a little noisey but its
in my basement so the wife cant hear it.

this is stock settings with ac unit running for 15 min.

this was temps at 4100 mhz running wprime24

at first i tried a swiftech mcp655 pump but it lost some of its pumping power the colder it got.

maybe i froze it too much. lol
the new pump is a little giant 4-md which is probably overkill for this but i
could probably cool 2 full systems with this pump and it does'nt seem to mind the cold temps at all.

ok zues and daveburt heres your pic's

2 gallons of ford premium gold and 1 gallon of water, i might need some deicer if the temps get too cold but so far it has only hit -25c. im guessing it wont get much colder because the ac unit is too small.

Yeah, seriously. I could build a duct to my rad or just hand it outside and I'll have some nice and frosty temps!

Thanks for the pics man... I love homemade stuff, you get a 9.8 from me!

You think living in a Condo is bad, I live in an apartment... I can only dream of having a basement...

I actually saw a 5000 BTU AC unit at Meijer the other day for $97. I seriously thought about buying it and just ducting the air into my case.
Your solution is Soooo much more elegant and functional!

At that temperature you're probably limited by the capillary tubing in the window unit. Remember air conditioning systems are built to run at a ~50'F evaporator temperature during normal operation. A 5000 BTU air conditioner would be able to handle a load of approx 1500 watts at 50 degrees.
