2600XT Numbers?
I know there have been a few reviews and they look bleak, but has anyone here run these in CF by chance? I'm really curious if these cards could be the next budget overclocking cards judging from how high the 2900XT core clocks. Anyone have any numbers at all, even single card runs would be great, just hoping for insane core clocks on decent cooling

No, there's nothing insane about these cards. They come clocked at 800MHz right out of the box, so there's nowhere to go much higher than that. All these card will prolly be good for is bragging about hitting the magical 1GHz mark, but that's still only a 25% gain.

Probably you're right, but I prefer to wait for some real overclocking (bypassing BIOS Lock, volt mods, etc) before judgment. Personally I hope 1.2GHz can be done on RV630...

Same here Lightman, I was hoping for 1.1-1.2GHz for benching runs, a shame these cores are so crippled but for this same reason they'll probably clock stupid-high.

They don't clock because there is no software to clock then. Overdrive can overclock, but at very limited clocks. ATITool can overclock, but again when it hits magic wall, no cooling can improve overclock. We need new version of ATITool.

bah, was hoping this wasn't going to get moved, guess I'll have to wait and see some people post 2600 3DMark numbers or buy two myself.
