Finally hit 5Ghz!!!! E6600 + dry ice....
I have never got this cpu to get over 552fsb in any multi so I never thought Ill ever hit 5Ghz, but today was my lucky day ... Still stuggling with setting up the DFI cos it seems to have a mind of its own but I finally found the right setting....
specs
E6600 L632B172
DFI 965-s 4/24
Crucial Ballistix pc5300 4x512mb
Silverstone Decathlon 750
luihed rev1.2 dice pot
YEAH BABY
Got it to validate too.... didnt want to mess my bios setting so this was with fast/fast setting lol....
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=198790
Superpi 1M... My timing really sux cos anything over 2.3v vdimm makes it unstable even without changing anything... 4-4-4-12-4- 40 lol.... But Ill take it...
Temp during 32M run..... this was I think 4630mhz @ 1.76v... measured from base of pot
pic of setup....
And best of all.... the pot that made it happen ..... luihed rev1.2, while solid pots are nice, I cant afford one so mine is 5 piece, 7 if you include solder and metal epoxy lol..... Base is from swiftech nb cooler

That's a pretty innovative all-copper tube. Have any pics of the construction or just the NB cooler?

I would like to see too.
I actually preffer the idea of a ghetto/homemade tube than a super high tech over-engineered one, especially when it gives such good results like this one.

32M run.... I couldnt tighten up the timings cos I was limited to 2.35v vdimm, if I set vdimm to 2.4v I couldnt finish the same run ..... or maybe I just suck at 32M lol.....
TPC boys.... salamat fafs
