ThermalRight's upcomming VGA cooler: V2
Thermalright is working on a new product
http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/main_product_v2.htm
looks like they decided not to nickle plate this one, I wonder that means a lower cost for us? (I hope so)

Hmmm....is it just me or is TR just walking all over the competition with very simple designs? Smart designers

Thermalright is the complete opposite of Thermaltake because Thermalright is the only one who actually has engineers. I love how everything they make is so simple, and yet provide the best performance.

8800 support? Please say yes. Been looking for something aftermarket that doesn't take up nearly as much space as the HR-03. Though I imagine it'd still be quite a behemoth with a fan attached.

looks very interesting, a fair bit lighter than the HR-03, can't wait for results, good to see TR catering for those that want performance without eating up all the space on the motherboard

judging by the distance of the outer mounting holes in the picture, i'd say its inline with a G80

plus its 80mm fan only, I guess its to compete with the cheaper vga coolers (assuming its a decent price) since most people are going to have a spare 80mm fan of some kind anyway.

I like the copper - but then I'm a fan of the old school copper coolers.
Kunaak is right though, except that I thought the delta they measured was only 1C despite the 10C temp difference. I could have been reading the wrong column, so apologies if I'm not correct on that.
However, they compared it to the HR03 which isn't even as good as the HR03plus that we are using on 8800's, so I agree it's not really a peak performance cooler. It's probably do for exceeding the stock cooling of mid range cards while not taking up a ton of space. However let's wait for the final product before saying that for sure.
It does, per the TR page take a 92mm fan optionally though, so there is that to consider.

i don't usually like thermalright coolers so much but this is a nice design. like stated i like how they are simple functional designs with heat dissipation in mind rather then looks.

the hr-03-plus isnt supposed to hold a 120mm fan ... but it does ;-) (with the help of some cable ties)

Hmmm... A heatsink even Hitler would like.
Now they just need to make a all copper version of the HR-03 plus that supports 120mm fans natively. It would need a video card support kit to go with it, but hey, it would be worth it.
(there is a joke in there. If you dont get it, dont flame me because you dont know about certain aspects of WWII. If you're curious, ask anyone who was alive in England during WWII and they will get the joke in 1/4 of a second)

riiiighhhttt, all copper HR-03 sounds profitable when it will just snap your vid card in half LOL i just bought a V1 actually for my 7600GT and i seen an over all 10-15c drop in temps. But mind you the temps are still only in the low 50s high 40s at best because of the change of case. With the stock cooler and the standard ATX profile case my card used to run about ...55c id say, at about 70f in my room. When i switched to this reverse cooling lian li it went up to about 70c idle because of the complete and utter lack of air at the top of this case, fast forward 3 weeks later to a antec vcool and a thermalright v1 and im back down to 49-53c excellent results i say and id like to see some comparisons between the V1 and the V2 for sure.
