Testing "Grosse Bertha"... xD [E6600@5.1GHz, X6800@5.4GHz, DFI Infinity P965-S, etc.]
WTF is "Grosse Bertha"?
Few tests have been performed since Monday. Luigi's first charges were very good... but we wished for coldest temps.
We get -115C loaded evap during Spi 1M with my X6800 operating between 5200MHz to 5250MHz and 1.81V DMM. Only 1 degree lost between idle and Spi 1M, and 4 to 5 degrees between idle and Spi 32M. AFAIR HP were = 15bars in 2nd, and = 3bars in 3rd.
It was quite good but not enough... (don't look at times, just testing here not benching )
On Wednesday, we tried it after a dinner with some friends, boblemagnifique, umbre_tombetoile and koda. Both 2nd and 3rd stages were severely overcharged so we get -109C loaded evap with bob's E6600 L630A at about 5.1GHz @1.79V.
Finally, some R1150 was removed from 2nd and 3rd stages but we weren't able to try it loaded because of a matter with the huge 3rd stage cp. :o
Today, I've continued with my X6800 @1.81V.
Screenies speak for themselves...
Let it be known, evap temp was -111C during Spi 32M at 5.1GHz. Also, evap temp was -121C (-122C speedfan) idling at 2.9GHz@1.47V.
I assume you have understood what "Grosse Bertha" is...
I'll post some fresh pics ASAP... Thanks for reading
PS: Thank you Luigi for all you've done! This guy has done a heck of a job.

That's incredible my friend! 5.2 on a cascade, and 5425 suicide...wow, I really gotta step up to the plate here. Great to see it in action now, you and Luigi must be very proud. A machine so many of us would dream to have...

Now THAT is a cascade
I can't wait to see pictures of it. Killer clocks for "only" cascade.

Thx guys
@LyP0: It was a canon during WW1
Delta is 2C on evap at 5.2GHz @1.8V during Spi 1M, and 6C during Spi 32M at 5.1GHz @1.8V. BTW 2nd stage requires further tuning.
@Pt1t: Yea, it's a very impressive unit. AFAIK it needs a little more tuning for big loads anyway.
So; I've done my first try on DFI Infinity P965-S motherboard today. I need to find a way to use clockgen because I can only get the CPU operating at boot clocks.
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=189123
Not very fast for 5.212GHz
But it's 1:1, and I need to learn how to tweak the board more.
I didn't try it more because the board insulation wasn't very good...

Not the max because CPU-Z and clockgen can't work together :o

Thank you guys!
@Gautam: No; unfortunately, setfsb (at least mine) doesn't work with the DFI P965-S
I've insulated the cascade more today, and 2nd is now very powerful...
BTW 3rd stage isn't yet tunned for heavy loads such as Spi 32M.
Today's best on P5B-Dlx...
Cascade WR? So close to 5.5Ghz...
And two nice Spi 1M...
