wye'ing

I've currently got the following:

res-pump-coolrad22t-bip1-apogee-mcw60

I'm going to be adding a mcw30 soon. I figure since my gpu is well within range, and the mcw60 is pretty flow agnostic, and it wouldn't matter too much if the chipset was a little hotter too, how about wye'ing to keep flow better since I'm having so many more components?

I was thinking of either:

res-pump-coolrad22t-bip1-apogee-wye

wye1-mcw30
wye2-mcw60

or have

wye1-res
wye2-mcw60-mcw30

So basically, either wye it and have one go directly to the other wye and to the res. Or have it wye one end to mcw30 and other end to mcw60.

I know all about not chipset cooling, but I figure at this point, I really might as well.

Also, I'm looking to get a fuzion soon once as well, which is good for its low flow restriction.

For sure, I know at least right now, it wouldn't be that big a deal if the mcw60 was getting hotter water / lower flow since it's only getting to around 42'c under load (7900gs).

I think putting one rad on one "side" and the other rad on the other "side" is a good idea because the flow is split between the 2 rads, and both get the highest possible water/air temp difference. And whatever components you want to have more flow on, you need to give the other "side" more restriction...
Maybe a good amount of 90 degree elbows on one part with a BIP and MCW30 in it, then the coolrad and cpu/gpu on the other?

Wow you're up way too late man. The more I think about it, the cpu is really the most crucial part in keeping cool. So I was even thinking of putting that as the only part that's not in a wye.

Perhaps something like:

res-pump-apogee-wye

wye1-mcw60-coolrad22t
wye2-mcw30-bip1

edit: oops, I think that's what you're saying

Better add second pump and don't use any Y. Separate them so that each will effectively work against half the total loop resistance. And use the pumps at lower voltage. This will add to the redundancy and increases pumps life.
