Abit IN9 32X-MAX & E6600 - Overclocking, tips/help?

Helu friends! I've just bought a new computer with a waterchill xternal cpu cooler from asetek, wich is really cool. :>
I've never overclocked before and have been trying now for a while (1 - 2 weeks).
But I don't get Orthos to work properly. I can play Battlefield 2 for hours without anything weird happening etc.
I would like some tips about how I can make my computer more stable when it's overclocked.
I'll give you as much info about it as possible.

Motherboard: Abit IN9 32xx-MAX
CPU: E6600 (Running 3.4 GHz, watercooled. Idle temp: ~22 C) 42% OC
Memories: Corsair XMS2 CM2X1024-6400 (x2) (4-4-4-10 1T)
GPU: XFX GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB
PSU: Corsair 620W
HDDs: 1x Raptor 36GB, 2x 300GB SATA, 1x 250GB SATA, 1x 200GB IDE

My BIOS settings:

CPU Operating Speed: Unlinked
FSB : 1511
Multiple Factor: x9
MEM : 800
N/B Strap CPU As: PSB1066
NB PCIe x16 CLOCK: 100MHz
SB PCIe x16 CLOCK: 100MHz
SB PCIe x8 CLOCK: 100MHz
SPP<->MCP REF Clock: 200MHz

CPU Core Voltage: 1.3250 V
DDR2 Voltage: 1.850 V

Memory Timing Settings:
tCL: 4
tRCD: 4
tRP: 4
tRAS: 10
Command Per Clock: 1T

tRRD: Auto <3>
tRC: Auto <21>
tWR: Auto <5>
tWTR: Auto <8>
tREF: Auto <7.8uS>
tRFC: Auto <40>

NVIDIA GPU Ex: Disabled
LinkBoost: Disabled

Thermal Control: Disabeld
Limit CPUID MaxVal: Disabeld

I'm getting tierd of being refused by orthos.. Would be so greatful if someone could help me out! Thanks! :>

I've now tried every clock above 3.2 GHz and it's the first stable. Running at PSB1066 (Trying PSB1333 now, looks like it's working, but I don't really know what it does.. ).
I'll post some orthos runs I've done with 3200 MHz, 4-4-4-10 2T (1T and orthos refused to run), PSB1066.

I've read that some e6600 who's made quite late are slower and can't be as overclocked as the older ones.. Maybe I have one of those? Or do any one have any idea how I can get more juice out of my CPU?

Thanks.. !

Why do you run 2 or even 4 instances of Orthos ? only one pogram running is required to test both cores... when you run Prime95 or SuperPi you can test both cores by running 2 programs... try with one

For tips on this mobo look in in the forum reviews section, there's a whole thread on this mobo , biosses and settings used.
Also 1066mhz on the ram with 1T is for everybody a no go, most peeps top out on 950mhz some have reached higher but only with extreme voltages and cooling....and special selected ram...

Ah.. thanks.. You mean that it's not many that have clocked this mobo more than 950MHz? :/ I'll check it out.. And about orthos.. I just did it as I've seen others do.. Thought it was the right way..
Thanks...

Im very interested in seeing what advice you get in regards to overclocking, I have just bought this Mboard myself and will start putting it together over Easter.

Mine is happy running 360x10 right now. Use only one instance of Orthos, It will run 2 worker threads for your dual core processor.

Fairly methodical thread about my experience with my IN9.

I'm running an e6600 also, with 3 different sets of RAM. I topped out my cpu at 9*420, simply ran into higher temps than I cared for. Settled on 9*410 for every day use.

Only mods: replaced nb and sb with as5, 60mm fan on the nb, 40mm fan on the pwm.

My memory (all variations of micron d9gmh) typically performed well in the 450mhz range with 1T, or in the 550mhz range with 2T.

Of course, my IN9 went belly up and is currently in rma...

That's awsome.. :O Orthos can't run one (1) orthos for more than 2 secs bafore it shuts down. I get it working at 3200MHz.
What cooling would work with IN9's nb/sb? I got a external watercooling and I'm thinking about getting one. Any ideas?
Thanks!
