I have a set of Ballistix pc5400 but after a month, its doing the 1.8v no boot issue so I had to RMA them.... In the meantime I borrowed these rams from my local store to tie me up for now..... These rams are Kingston unmatched PC5400 Cas5, same rams the store uses for thier ready built systems....
As expected, these are nowhere close to my Ballistix, what I didnt expect though are the numbers I got from them.... here goes, all test @ 2.4v
Memtest.....
Superpi 32M
Some 3-3-3 action.... not too bad...
And then 5-5-5-15.... what these rams are rated at
24/7 I run my ballistix at 4-4-4-6 @ 420fsb, Ive had these modules run with my D9s at the same speed but at 4-4-4-12 instead.... I ended up buying these cos 1, there cheap and secondly if ever I get the 1.8v syndrome again, I have these to get to the bios..... Im very curious though on how these cheeapies compare to non-D9 midrange performance rams.....
